** After completing his post-graduate training at Tulane University, New Orleans in 1981, Dr. Juzar Ali was the Head of the Chest & TB Unit, Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan for 10 years. The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council and the Karachi University for postgraduate study in Tuberculosis recognized this department. It conducted diploma and degree courses (MCPS, FCPS, and DTCD) in TB. He also worked as Chest Consultant in the Aga Khan University Hospital and Allied Health Sciences, Karachi. Currently, Dr. Ali is Professor of Clinical Medicine at LSU, New Orleans. His academic and clinical interests include Tuberculosis, Atypical Mycobacterial Infections, and Medical/Community Education. He is the recipient of the NIH funded Tuberculosis Academic Award to promote TB education and curriculum development. He has been awarded innumerable teaching honors at LSUHSC and has been nominated for the AAMC/Pfizer Humanism in Medicine Award at LSU. Recently, he received the US - Fulbright Scholar Lecturing Grant Award.
